Tes is supporting the appointment of a Science Teacher to join a school based in Dudley.

Salary:                Up to £35,000 per annum dependent on experience

Hours:                37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract:           Permanent, Term Time Only

This role is to commence in September or January depending on availability.

They have a fantastic opportunity for a Science Teacher to join their close-knit team at the school due to growth in service. If you are looking to join a dedicated team in a school that will welcome your ideas and re-engage their young people, they would like to hear from you.

About the School

The school opened in September 2018. They are a co-educational day school catering for pupils aged 7-18 with a range of complex needs including a range of social, emotional and mental health needs and also pupils who have been diagnosed with autism or demonstrate behaviours associated with autism.

You will contribute to making the school an Outstanding provision and a leading light for their young people and their families. The uniqueness of every child is recognised and valued and their curriculum embraces the community, from which it exists, recognising and celebrating the diverse backgrounds and experiences of their growing cohort.

Through their curriculum, they develop the essential knowledge, skills and understanding, which are the building blocks for later life. Their curriculum encompasses not only the formal requirements of the National Curriculum but goes beyond the experiences of the classroom to ensure that their children are exposed to the richest and most varied opportunities that we can provide.

Their aim is to enrich every child's school experience by creating an environment where they are encouraged to succeed and be the best they can be. They provide a therapeutic, supportive and inclusive learning environment and are committed to raising achievement and enabling pupils to recognise their potential.

About the Role

The school requires an experienced and qualified Science Teacher who can make a significant contribution to their school. The successful candidate will be an innovative, reflective practitioner who can demonstrate the willingness to adapt and learn. They are looking for an individual with high expectations and standards who can offer excellent behavioural management skills. An additional strength would be a creative, engaging approach to curriculum design and planning both within the classroom and in the wider outdoor learning environment.

Educated to Qualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.

About the Group

They are part of a group that promise you plenty of challenges, and a rich variety of opportunities to develop your career.

They provide education and Care across a number of schools and residential homes nationally. Our specialist SEN provision, coupled with our expertise within residential care means we offer thousands of vulnerable children and young people across the UK a holistic, wraparound care, residential and education service, empowering them with everything they need to flourish.
