Science teacher required for a PRU facility in Wakefield. 

  • Science Specialist
  • February half term / Easter start
  • Long term position – possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate
  • Based in Wakefield

Vision for Education is currently looking for a Science teacher for a mixed provision based in Wakefield. This is an extremely challenging provision where students are no longer in mainstream school therefore we are looking for a suitably qualified teacher of Science with the drive and determination to get the best out of their pupils no matter what obstructions they may face. You must be ready for the challenge and want to make a difference and help improve student’s education. This provision caters for students predominantly with SEMH however some young students may show signs of a multiple combination of difficulties. It is imperative that you have the right level of behaviour management and personality to support the school.

The ideal candidate must –

  • Have UK QTS – Science based Degree or teacher training
  • Be Team teach trained
  • Experience in a similar setting 
  • Have a background working with children with challenging behaviour.
