Job overview

St Dominic’s School, an Autism Accredited school rated “Good” by Ofsted, is a weekly residential and day school catering for up to 110 students between the age of 7 – 19 who have a range of academic abilities but with complex special needs.

St Dominic's offers a truly multi-disciplinary approach. Teachers work with therapy and care staff to enhance the learning process and provide an exciting waking day curriculum.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-driven, flexible and talented teacher to teach science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

You must be able to convey the subject to pupils and students who have a range of abilities, and monitor and assess to ensure the best possible progress. The successful candidate will have a commitment to developing outstanding practice and a passion for making a difference to the education and lives of our young people by building positive and supportive relationships.

Applications are welcome from both NQTs and experienced teachers. Experience of working within a SEN setting is desirable, but not essential.
