The secondary school believes that all students have the right to a good education to benefit their future opportunities and works to ensure that individuals are enthusiastic about learning and achieving their full potential. Students are encouraged to get involved with extra-curricular activities to enhance their learning experience and gain further skills and confidence. Leadership skills and teamwork is practiced through an active Learner Voice, where student leaders work together to help implement positive changes at the school. Students in Year 10 are given the opportunity to gain work experience in the industry as part of the curriculum, allowing for them to prepare themselves for the responsibilities they will face when leaving school.

Ofsted

“Teaching across most subjects and year groups including English and mathematics is good and some is outstanding. This leads to good progress being made by students. Teachers have high expectations of students in terms of both behaviour and learning.”
