The position
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Middle School Science (IB MYP 11-16 years old) to join two other teachers in our experimental sciences team, as well as contribute to the wider MYP/DP team. The courses are taught in brand new and well resourced laboratories, the building of which has been driven by our existing experimental sciences teachers. We expect that the teacher appointed will teach a slightly reduced timetable in the region of 17 hours per week, with several hours per week also set aside for laboratory preparation. The contract offered will be for the period until 30th June 2019.
We are looking for teachers who show a high level of initiative, flexibility, creativity and organisational skills, as well as a commitment to co-curricula initiatives.

Essential characteristics
• immediate availability and flexibility to relocate to Italy;
• to be in possession of a university degree in the subject(s) and an appropriate teaching qualification;
• to have had recent experience teaching the subject(s) with students aged 11-16;
• to be an EU passport holder or already be in possession of a valid visa that enables to work in Italy.
Previous experience with IB programmes is not required. Relocation assistance and help with the apartment search and settling-in process will be provided. Other employment benefits include a weekly Italian course, an iPad and free school lunches.
