“Staff are proud of the work they do. Building on the long - standing traditions of the school, staff support the development of ‘courteous, respectful and calm’ young men, reflecting the school’s well - established values.” [Ofsted Report – February 2017]
We wish to appoint a colleague who has the desire to work in a supportive and successful environment. The department is the best in the local area and you will be joining an already outstanding team of practitioners. Standards at GCSE and A level are exceptional across all three sciences and many students pursue their studies at university. Girls join our highly successful Sixth Form. The school’s ‘Progress 8’ measure is 0.70 above boys’ national data and well ahead of boys and girls locally.
You will demonstrate the ability to inspire students and you will receive outstanding support as part of your own ongoing professional development. Our students love science and perform above national expectations at all levels. Applications are welcome from any of the science specialisms.
Across the school, students benefit from our insistence on: high standards and achievement; an exceptional range of additional opportunities; the focus on traditional values; and an innovative learning environment. We are committed to providing an excellent learning environment in which students can thrive and where all staff can develop professionally, through continual training and development, in our outward-looking school. The school is in a period of growth and a new 20-room teaching block and four new science laboratories (due before September 2018) will accommodate this expansion.
We are an over-subscribed and popular boys’ school with a mixed Sixth Form. We are situated in a tree-lined neighbourhood of the London Borough of Hounslow, a vibrant area of West London. We are close to Osterley Park, a short hop from central London by tube, and have easy access to Heathrow Airport.
This post is permanent and will suit a newly-qualified teacher or an experienced colleague wishing to progress their career.
