This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to raise the profile of Science at Fairfield.  The successful candidate would be joining the team.  There are real opportunities to lead on curriculum issues and change approaches to teaching and learning.  

This post is for maternity cover, starting in April 2020.

Fairfield, rated as Ofsted good, is noted to be ‘inclusive and harmonious with students that are intellectually curious’.

The right candidate will need to demonstrate strong classroom management skills, have excellent organisational and ICT skills, a high degree of initiative, be able to work independently as well as part of a faculty team, and the ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results.  A specialism in Physics is desirable. 

The post would suit an NQT or an experienced Teacher looking to advance their career.

Fairfield High School is part of the Excalibur Academies Trust and works closely with its partner schools to develop opportunities for staff and students, while remaining very much an individual school.  The Trust has grown from two schools in Marlborough, Wiltshire, to 15 schools in four local authorities stretching from Bristol to Reading along the M4 corridor, providing high quality education to almost 4000 children from age 2 to 18.

Careers Development:
