The School: 

GEMS Al Barsha National School for Boys (NSB), Dubai, opened in September 2017 with the aim of providing an outstanding level of education for mainly local Emirati boys. As a school, we want to ensure most of our boys leave with the academic qualifications for Higher Education along with the skills to succeed in a global market. Ultimately we want our boys to become good men, good fathers and good members of the UAE community. Along with GEMS Al Barsha National School for Girls, we will be the flagship schools for Emirati education.

NSB offers an enhanced curriculum based on the National Curriculum for England with Arabic language and UAE culture, heritage and tradition at the heart of everything. As an all-through educational provision, the school currently caters for children from FS1 to Year 11 with plans to grow to Year 13 in successive years. FS provision is co-educational and Y1-11 is boys only. FS boys are educated in the GEMS Al Barsha National School for Girls, which is adjacently located within the school campus.

About the Role: 

We are looking for a Science Teacher to join our existing team at GEMS National School for Boys, Dubai from September 2020.

Successful applicants will have:

• A minimum of 2 years of solid and demonstrable Physics, Chemistry or Biology teaching experience at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 following the UK National Curriculum.   
• A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent (PGCE/PGDE must be accompanied by a subject relevant Bachelor’s Degree).
• The desire to provide outstanding teaching and learning.
• An aspiration to work in a world-class school with real prospects for enhancing their career.
