Science Teacher - Normanhurst School

We are looking to appoint an excellent Science teacher to join a small department at Normanhurst School.  The successful candidate will be an outstanding and inspiring classroom practitioner able to teach KS3 and KS4 Science.  The ability to offer three sciences to GCSE level is desirable.

This is currently a part time position over four days per week in a small department with well-equipped labs and a part time lab technician. There is the possibility of full time from September 2020.

Founded in 1923, Normanhurst School is a co-educational independent school located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The school accepts children aged 2 1/2 to 16, and has around 280 pupils in total, making it smaller than the average school of its type. The school is operated by the Oak-Tree Group of Schools, a grouping of a small number of local independent schools. Normanhurst’s site is comprised of older Edwardian buildings, housing a range of modern teaching and recreational facilities, as well as a number of more modern purpose-built teaching areas.
