Farney Close is a mixed independent residential school for children aged 11-18 who are experiencing Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. The school also supports pupils who experience Asperger or Tourette’s Syndrome, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Dyslexia or Moderate Speech and Language Difficulties.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to coordinate our Science Department. The successful applicant will need to be qualified to teach both Science Key Stages 3&4. The school follows the National Curriculum, offering a variety of qualifications from Single Award GCSE to Entry Level Pathways, and therefore applicants will need to flexible in their approach to ensure that they meet the individual needs of the students.
Having prior experience of working with SEMH pupils is advantageous.
This would be for a permanent position from 1st September 2019, we are looking for someone who is happy to become an integral and positive member of the school.
