Science Teacher

THE ROLE

This is a superb and exciting opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join us from September 2023. We have the ambition that Pimlico Academy will be the best school in London – a truly inclusive school where young people are taught a challenging, knowledge-led curriculum that enables them to be successful in whatever field they choose to pursue in the future. The Science Teacher will ensure that high-quality learning takes place and that outstanding attainment and progress are secured at Key Stages 4 and 5.

WHO WE ARE

Pimlico Academy is a flourishing mixed, non-selective secondary school and sixth form based in Pimlico, London, admitting students from the ages of 11 to 18.

We are part of Future Academies, a Multi-Academy Trust which includes three primary schools and seven secondary schools in and around London and Hertfordshire. We are motivated by a mission of social change and reducing educational inequality. We are unique in our approach to a knowledge-rich curriculum; our school motto is Libertas per cultum (Freedom through education), and in our strong emphasis on raising young people’s aspirations and outcomes through the teaching of classical and traditional subjects. Our children and young people study a bespoke curriculum developed by researchers at our Curriculum Centre, which places a focus on developing their cultural literacy and their awareness of the forces, words and events that have shaped our society today.
