Required from September 2019 an enthusiastic science teacher to join a successful and well-resourced curriculum area. We welcome applications from ambitious and forward-thinking individuals, who are aspiring to more whole school roles. The successful applicant will play a key role in developing resources and activities for STEM Subjects, setting up opportunities for learning and teaching and coordinating the STEM club activities across Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Computer Science and working closely with Curriculum Area Leaders. These are growing area for careers and we seek to further engage our students in these subjects.
Separate Science GCSE results are among the best in the school: Summer 2018 results: Biology: 92% (grade 9 – 4) Chemistry: 94% (grade 9 – 4) Physics: 92% (grade 9 – 4)
The successful candidate will be required to teach both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science, as well as your specialist area to A Level. The Sciences are popular subjects post-16 and results are consistently high.
