Job overview

An enthusiastic, efficient, organised person with a ‘can do’ attitude is required to join our committed staff to support with the preparation of materials and equipment for science lessons.  The maintenance of the science laboratories, preparation rooms and equipment in good order is also required.  Previous experience of working in a science laboratory and/or a knowledge of Biology and Chemistry is desirable.  Previous applicants need not apply.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 16.00, term-time only plus 5 non-pupil days.

About Colchester County High School for Girls

Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust.  It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding".  Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students to the Sixth Form.  The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site.  Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
