Job overview

15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term-time, plus two further weeks)

We are looking for a Science Technician to join our successful science team in our Secondary Phase.

You will be required to provide support to the science department, ensuring appropriate equipment and resources are available to support learning in a safe working environment. You will also be expected to provide classroom support during lessons.

You will need to have good communication skills, with the ability to relate well to young people and have a passion for science.

Working Hours: Either 7.5 hours per day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, or 5 hours per day on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Bridgwater College Academy is the only all-through mainstream Academy in Somerset and opened in 2012.  Student numbers are divided equally between Primary and Secondary phases; we also have a nursery provision too.
