Job overview

We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and preferably experienced Science Technician to work Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm for 40 weeks per year. Salary Scale 2 Point 3 £17,414 (actual salary). This post is suitable for individuals with experience and/or an interest in supporting Science. 

We will consider suitable candidates for an enhanced Senior Science Technician role, leading a team of technicians and playing a wider role within the department, depending on experience and skills. The salary will be adjusted to reflect this.  

You will work in collaboration with a large, friendly and committed department of Science teachers in the planning, preparation and delivery of resources and lessons, making a positive contribution to students’ education.  The ability and desire to support Physics practicals at both KS4 and 5 is desirable.
