A Science Technician is required to assist in the Science Department at William Perkin Church of England High School. The main purpose of the role is to support the Science teaching programme by providing technical and practical support to the department, and to assist with the maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment.
The Science technician role is highly suitable for someone looking to gain school experience before moving on to teacher training.

William Perkin CE High School, Greenford
William Perkin Church of England High School opened as a Free School in September 2013 with its first intake of Year 7 students, and now has four year groups (7, 8, 9, 10) totalling around 770 students. The school is founded on the successful systems and approaches of Twyford CE High School, with the principle difference that it is a distinctively Christian school with open admission criteria. The school was rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ in June 2015, and is oversubscribed on first choice applicants. The staff community, though still small, is very positive and highly motivated.
The context - The Twyford Trust
The Twyford Trust was established in October 2011 with the support of the LDBS to launch a second school based on the success of Twyford Church of England High School. The Trust aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting, and embraces the motto ‘Life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10), encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well.
