We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly-skilled Technician to support the work of our students and staff in our dynamic Science Department. The technician is a valued part of our school team and plays a pivotal role in supporting the practical and technical aspects of the Science Curriculum.
The technician will work as part of a three person team of technician and two Science teachers, in order to support and develop the practical element of learning. You will be responsible for preparing class practicals and demonstrations for two teachers, teaching in two science classrooms. You will also be responsible for updating the prep room and actively acquiring new resources in order to support the progression of Biology, Chemistry and Physics within our thriving department. This role will involve a variety of tasks related to the preparation and delivery of practical lessons, so a keen interest in science is essential.
The successful candidate will be working from 8:45am until 1:00pm, term time only (this includes INSET days).
Applicants should be diligent, organised and willing to use their own initiative. Strong communication skills and an interest in working alongside young people is essential.
