SCIENCE TECHNICIAN Scale 4 point 18-21 Actual Salary £16988 - £18752 (36 hours per week for 39 weeks per year)

The Heathland School is an over-subscribed, successful multi-cultural school which received a highly positive Ofsted Report in June 2013. A full time Laboratory Technician (term time only + 5 Inset Days) is required to work in the Science Department. Science is a popular subject with large numbers of students progressing to ‘A’ Level courses. 

The person appointed will be responsible for preparing experiments and demonstrations for practical lessons up to and including Physics ‘A’ Level in addition to responsibilities as detailed in the job description. 

A Science qualification or experience in Chemistry, Physics or Biology is essential.   The successful candidate will be provided with induction and appropriate training.
