The role
We are currently assisting a secondary school in the Kirklees area in their search to appoint a suitable qualified Science Technician. The role is full-time term-time plus 3 days, 5 days a week, to start September 2021 and will be on a temp-to-perm or permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Science department, coordinating practical resources, assistance and advice. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a school, have experience maintaining equipment and have a keen interest in working with young people.
The school
This is mainstream secondary school in the Kirklees area. The desired Science Technician will be supported by an outstanding and passionate management team and will be a valued member of the Science department.
Requirements
To be considered for the Science Technician role you must:
- Have previous experience working in a Science support tole, preferably in a school
- Have some knowledge or previous experience of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Be adaptable and flexible
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
