Job overview

 We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Technician/Instructor in Science for our Health Social Care and Access Provision.

The post includes a mixture of Technician and Instructor duties. The mix may vary through the academic year but typical Instructor duties will take priority subject to the maintenance of a balanced work schedule.

As an Instructor, you will be involved in the development and delivery of the courses and as a technician you will assist in the preparation of materials to support the teaching and learning process and provide all the required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively, while adhering to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines.

Ideally you will have: 

- Relevant vocational qualifications include NVQs in Laboratory Sciences or Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities

- A relevant science based degree qualification and be able to deliver physics, and Ideally biology, chemistry and maths.

- A recognised teaching qualification e.g. DTLLS, PCET or QCF level 5 Diploma in Education or are willing to work towards one.
