To provide general support to the Science Department
Permanent, full time hours; 39 weeks of the year
8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
There is also the option of working part-time hours for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparing materials for Science teachers
-
Maintaining a safe working environment
-
Supporting staff and students in preparing and demonstrating practical activities

Ordering chemicals and equipment when necessary
-
Following CLEAPSS guidelines
-
Helping other technicians as and when appropriate
-
Keeping the laboratories and prep rooms tidy
-
Making apparatus and testing as required, and recording any necessary repairs
Person Specification:
- Applications for this post are welcomed from both experienced
- Technicians, as well as applicants with little or no experience but who have a passion for the Sciences and are willing and eager to learn.
- Organizational and self-management skills with the ability to multitask
