The role
Technicians provide technical support to activities carried out in the science departments at the school.
The technical team is responsible for the maintenance and security of science resources in the laboratories and preparation rooms. The team ensures that all equipment and materials are prepared for demonstration and class practical’s, this includes setting up and checking equipment. It is expected that they will make a significant contribution to the continued success of students at all key stages.
About You
You will be working to support the school's science department. You will work alongside the Head of Department and other Science Technician, and be setting up and tidying away experiments which will also involve cleaning of equipment. You will be mixing chemical solutions and helping where necessary within the classroom. The experiments will be up to a level, predominantly in chemistry and biology.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience of working as a Science Technician and ideally have school experience
