Job overview

Term time plus one week

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as a science technician at Cromer Academy.

As well as providing general laboratory support to the science department, you will assist in practical science lessons and must therefore be able to relate well to both staff and students. The successful candidate will be expected to work on their own initiative as well as be a team player. The ideal candidate will be well-organised with the ability to work independently, taking responsibility for managing routine safety and maintenance checks. The role involves working with a wide range of equipment, materials, and resources so a good knowledge of health and safety and CLEAPSS is desirable.

Relevant experience within a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential, as appropriate training will be provided.

If you are enthusiastic about science and enjoy inspiring others, this is a wonderful opportunity to use your training and experience and develop your skills within a friendly team. If you think that you have the skills and attributes for this exciting role we would be pleased to hear from you.

We are committed to offering excellent professional opportunities and learning opportunities for our staff, through careful support and personalised CPD. We offer a structured and specific induction programme that has been praised by staff for its support and expertise.

To apply please use our online application form at www.inspirationtrust.org

Closing date for applications: 12pm, Wednesday, August 23 2017

Interview date: Thursday, August 24 2017

Inspiration Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff appointments are subject to satisfactory references and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks. We are an equal opportunities employer.
