Salary Grade:  Hay 5, (points 16 - 23)

Hours: 36 hours a week, 40 weeks a year (term time plus 5 days)  

We are seeking to appoint a Science Technician to work in the Science Department from September 2018. The post holder will work as part of the Science Technician Team to meet the needs of pupils and teachers in the Science Curriculum Area.

You will be responsible for the preparation of resources for practical lessons to support the delivery of the Science Curriculum. You will also be responsible for stock control and maintenance within the preparation areas. Awareness of Health & Safety regulations relevant to a chemical laboratory environment is essential. 

The successful candidate will have at least one Science A Level or equivalent, or an NVQ or other specific lab technician qualification. The ability to communicate effectively with young people aged 11 – 18 is essential.
