The College wishes to appoint to the following post from 23rd August 2021:

Science Technician – up to 37 hours/term time – to support the science department, across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, ensuring teachers and students have the equipment and resources they need to provide excellent opportunities for learning. Appropriate qualifications and/or experience are essential.

Salary depending on experience and qualifications: £17,372 - £19,524 FTE (E.g. actual pro-rata salary for 37 hours term time £14,792 - £16,625.)

The above appointment will be made on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Association (SFCA) Support Staff pay scale.  Salary as specified. Candidates must be innovative, enthusiastic and must meet the appropriate person specification.

 Aquinas College is a Roman Catholic denomination, co-educational sixth form facility in Stockport, Greater Manchester. As of the most recent inspection, there were 1,909 full-time students on the school roll, and 625 part-time students. The college is under the trusteeship of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury, and is named for the 13th century philosopher and theologian, Saint Thomas Aquinas. The town of Stockport has a population of 136,000, and is located 7 miles southeast of central Manchester.
