27 hours per week - term time plus 3 inset days
(8am-2pm Monday-Thurs) 8am-1.30pm Friday (30 min lunch)
We are looking to appoint a science technician to provide an efficient and effective support for the science department. Hopefully, the successful candidate would be able to start as soon as possible.
Duties include; preparing solutions/reagents and biological specimens, setting up demonstrations, organising equipment and chemicals for lessons, ensuring equipment and laboratories are tidy and safe. Awareness of Health and Safety regulations eg COSHH and ability to undertake routine maintenance of equipment.
The school is committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of students and expects staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate child protection screening including a DBS check.
