The Trafford College Group (TCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Science Technician to support our learners to progress through provision of a technical support service to the curriculum area and contributing to the effective operation of the curriculum’s activities.


The Job:


You will be responsible for preparing equipment and materials for practical classes, demonstrations and exam projects. Additionally, you will maintain, repair and rebuild tools and equipment, issue materials and equipment to staff and students and ensure good housekeeping of classrooms and learning and storage areas. As part of your duties, you will provide support to lecturers during laboratory experiments, as well as being required to adhere to health and safety procedures and systems ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation.


About you:


In order to be successful in this role you must have numeracy and literacy skills at level 2 or be prepared to work towards them, a technical qualification and relevant experience to at least level 3 in Science, and be a qualified First Aider and COSHH certified, or be prepared to undertake the training.
