Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Technician to join our Science Department.  Duties will broadly include preparation of resources for practical lessons, maintenance of equipment and stock control.  Our mission is to inspire each child with a love of learning and to prepare them for a fulfilling future.  The successful candidate will have a warm personality and a genuine desire to make a positive difference to children’s learning.  The successful candidate will be well-organised and have a flexible approach to their work.  The post would be suitable for an experienced technician, or someone looking to develop into the role.  No specific science knowledge is necessary as full training can be provided, if required.

This is a part-time position for approximately 5-7 hours per week during term time, including attendance at INSET days, times of work to be agreed.  Salary will be according to experience and qualifications.  An application pack is available to download below or from the HR Manager, Emma Mitchell hr@hawthorns.com
