Science Technician

Repton Al Barsha is seeking to recruit an outstanding Science Technician for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities*  

• To set up practical lessons for science teaching staff throughout the school  
• Provide assistance to the science teaching staff throughout primary and senior school  
• Preparation of solutions, providing chemicals, standard solutions and specimens  
• Trialling practical activities, liaising with teaching staff to develop new practical ideas  
• Risk assess science practical investigations  
• Provide basic training to staff on new / unfamiliar equipment / experiments  
• To manage stock control, stock inventory and chemical data base  
• Carry out maintenance, calibration, service and repair of equipment

Skills/Abilities  

• Knowledge of CLEAPPS and H&S guidelines  
• Knowledge of first aid and fire safety  
• Good communication and writing skills  
• Good interpersonal negotiation skills
