Are you a dynamic and highly motivated classroom practitioner, and an excellent Scientist with a proven record of raising attainment? 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about their subject, committed to academic excellence with the ability to motivate, support and enthuse our staff and students. 

The successful candidate will support the team in implementing an effective Science curriculum across KS3 and KS4, ensuring high quality, engaging and fulfilling lessons for our students that leads to excellent outcomes. You will have a demonstrable record of raising attainment across KS3 and KS4. You will ideally be a Physics specialist but this is not essential.

The science department has 7 modern, bright laboratories which have been purpose built and are centred around the prep room. We teach AQA combined and triple science and offer extracurricular activities to enhance learning. You will be joining a talented team of Science teachers who are supportive, determined, hard-working and incredibly invested in the success of our students. Joining our network allows opportunity for collaboration across our national Science Subject Network Group.

Maltings is a 11-16 academy based in Witham, Essex. Situated between the city of Chelmsford and Colchester, the academy has 900 students on roll and benefits from a purpose-built building that was constructed in 2011. There are excellent transport links to London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. Free car parking facilities are available on site.
