We have a unique and exciting opportunity within our Design Technology department for a strong teacher who is looking for an interesting and varied role teaching a combination of Design Technology, Graphics with Food Technology.

This is a newly created position in which we are keen to appoint someone who is willing to stretch themselves as well as their students, teaching a diverse curriculum. The post offers an ideal opportunity for an experienced teacher to develop professionally and to contribute to future whole school improvement. The post would suit an ambitious and driven teacher seeking a stimulating, supportive working environment.

Whilst subject knowledge in all three areas would be beneficial, it is not essential. For the right person, we will provide full training around subject knowledge where necessary. Most importantly, we are looking for someone to inspire learning; promote interest in the subjects and ensure high achievement.

Given the structure of the department, you will also work well as a team with a flexible, ‘can do’ approach and be willing to make a contribution to the life of the school and to ensuring that all our students achieve the best possible outcomes.

An excellent career and professional development offer is also at the heart of the academy’s commitment to you. In addition, you will have the opportunity to link with other Co-operative Academies across the North West. Our core co-operative values define us. Every member of staff in our academy follows our ‘Ways of Being’;
