Maltings Academy is graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and has a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff alike. 

The English department is well-established, running public speaking and literary competitions, as part of an annual programme.  The department features seven specialist classrooms with interactive whiteboards; classrooms are based in the same corridor to provide inspiration, support and a strong team ethos.  The team consists of seven full time specialist teachers and also benefits from English Intervention Tutors and LSA support for SEND students. The team works collaboratively, innovatively and consistently in order to provide excellent experiences for the students. The department has an extensive range of online resources and in-house lesson materials. You would be joining a friendly and supportive team with excellent CPD opportunities.

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an outstanding teacher of English, able to deliver lessons that inspire our learners to succeed, in order to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will possess energy and enthusiasm to deliver lessons that engage, enthuse and motivate our learners. You will also have a drive for continuous improvement to help lead an outstanding English department

This role is based at Maltings Academy but you may also be required to work at New Rickstones Academy, also in Witham.
