We are looking for candidates to join our amazing Humanities department, which consists of five History and three Geography teachers, led by the Head of Humanities. You will support the Head of Faculty in the effective development of the curriculum and in leading the faculty to ensure students make consistently good progress.

Kenton School is a mixed, mainstream, non-denominational secondary school in Newcastle upon Tyne. It caters to students aged 11-18 and has 2,010 pupils at full capacity, including 300 in the sixth form.

Kenton School was opened to pupils and staff on 17th March 1961 as a maintained comprehensive school. After 47 years in the original buildings, the school moved into new state-of-the-art premises in 2008.

Kenton School converted to academy status in 2012. In 2014, it formed Kenton Schools Academy Trust. This multi-academy trust opened Studio West, a new studio school, in West Denton in 2014.
