Job overview

Required for January 2017 a well qualified and experienced Maths specialist to take on the role of Second in Department.

We are looking to appoint a colleague who will:

  • Engage, enthuse, motivate and challenge students to raise achievement at all levels
  • Support the Curriculum Leader in the smooth and effective running of the Department
  • Ensure the Maths team have high standards in Teaching and Learning and student progress
  • Have a keen interest in leading mathematics across the curriculum

The Directors and Local Governing Body are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service and additional recruitment checks.

The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College holistically educates students from the age of 11 to 18 (Year 7 through to Year 13). We are part of the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust and belong to the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
