The Governors wish to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher to support the leadership of our Science department into the next stage of its development moving our Science Mark status from silver to gold. Ashton Community Science College is an 11-16 mixed school with 687 pupils on roll and was rated as Good by Ofsted in the last inspection in 2018. Our goal is to be an outstanding High School and we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified leader to teach across the full ability and age range, who is committed to raising standards by inspiring learners. A full programme of support is available as part of our commitment to investing in high quality staff. We hold the contract for the National STEM Centre as the Science Learning Partnership for Lancashire and facilitate CPD for primary, secondary and post 16. For the successful candidate there could be opportunities to contribute to the SLP by delivering bespoke CPD to schools across Lancashire.
