Start date: September 2023 or sooner if available

Location: London

Hours: Full Time

Contract: Permanent

Are you currently completing your teacher training via university, Teach First or School Direct?

Would you benefit from a structured and supportive ECT induction with wellbeing at its heart?

Across Ark Schools in London, we have a focus on building a pipeline of Secondary Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for various subjects where you can join us and make a difference where it matters most.

Ark is a network of 39 schools and our aim is to provide all students with a great education, regardless of their background. There are 27 Ark schools across London including 10 Secondaries, 11 Primaries, 6 All-throughs. All our London schools are ably supported by a dedicated Regional Director. In September 2023, we will open a brand-new primary school in west London, Ark White City Primary Academy. The school will be at the heart of EdCity, a new development which will offer affordable housing, a youth zone, an adult learning centre, a nursery, and an innovative education hub to the local community.

We’re looking for passionate teachers that share our vision in supporting all children with excellent education regardless of their background.

Ark’s ECT induction gives new teachers the opportunity to take part in sessions both in-person and online where you can interact with experienced tutors and other ECTs in the network. All learning is split into digestible chunks and follows a similar structure to our own outstanding teacher training programme, Ark Teacher Training. Workload and wellbeing are a high priority during the Ark ECT induction and sessions will be delivered to support this.

Beyond your ECT induction, Ark has extensive professional development in place to enable you to work towards your goals within your career. Whether that be completing NPQs, working leadership roles or specialising in the pastoral or SEN departments – your progress is always supported.
