We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary English & TOK teacher to join our English Department. The ideal candidate will also have experience teaching DP English A and TOK.

Job Description:
As a Secondary English and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Teacher at KISU, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (Cambridge IGCSE), and the IB Diploma Programme. You will teach English Language and Literature, while also delivering the IB Diploma Programme Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course.

You will develop students' appreciation of literature, language and communication, while developing their analytical, critical thinking and academic writing skills. Through TOK, you will encourage students to question knowledge, explore different perspectives, and make meaningful connections across disciplines. The successful candidate will have experience teaching English across the secondary age range, with experience of the IB Diploma Programme and TOK being highly desirable.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in English, English Literature or a related subject (minimum requirement)

• Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE/PGDE/ or equivalent)

• Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience at secondary school level

• Strong knowledge of the British National Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE English and the IB Diploma Programme English curriculum

• Experience teaching, or willingness to teach DP Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

• Ability to plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that engage students with diverse learning needs

• Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students

• Proficient in using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
