Open World International School is seeking to recruit a qualified English Language and Literature teacher to teach Years 7 -10. Successful candidates should be native-level English speakers and willing to take part in the ongoing development of this newly established secondary school. Candidates should be located within easy reach of Compiègne (60200). 

Open World International School is a private French-English bilingual school welcoming over 160 students from nursery to secondary school. Located in Picardy in a beautiful countryside location, 50 km North of Paris, the school offers an excellent teaching environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Personal Skills

- Fully qualified secondary teacher (PGCE-B. Ed or equivalent) 

- Experience of teaching IGCSE and Cambridge English Language exams (PET, FIRST)

- Commitment to holistic, student-centred and inquiry-based learning

- A strong team player, willing to involve him/herself in the school’s life

- Experienced and comfortable teaching in a cross-cultural environment

- Confident in the ability to engage with and inspire pupils to achieve their best

- Ability to teach across a range of levels

- Valid working papers to work in France

- The position includes ESL and First Language classes

- Teaching drama or geography is a plus
