Job overview

Due to the school’s expansion: King’s College School welcomes expressions of interest from teachers who would like to play an integral role in shaping the future of our school, joining our team for the beginning of the 2022 - 2023 academic year.

We are part of the Inspired Group of Schools, a leading global premium schools group educating over 48,000 students across an international network of over 60 schools on 5 continents. All the Inspired schools are individually developed and designed in response to their environment and location, delivering an excellent education to their respective communities.

Originally opening as a preparatory school, KCS has now grown to an all through school catering for 800+ students from Pre-Nursery to Year 11. In September 2020 the school opened a newly refurbished second site a stone’s throw from our existing, purpose built, campus. Our new facility primarily houses students from Pre-Nursery to the end of Key Stage One. This has led to an increase in capacity across our full age range and will continue to operate at capacity in 2021 - 2022 due to the extensive waiting lists we have in almost every year. We expect to experience growth year on year for the foreseeable future.

King’s College School is ‘Excellent’ in all areas and has secured that rating in three consecutive BSO inspections. Our strengths are: the excellent academic outcomes we achieve for all our students, 74% 7+ at GCSE; our implementation of the High Performance Learning Framework, securing World Class School status in 2019; our relentless focus on student and staff wellbeing, achieving the Wellbeing in Schools Award in 2019. KCS is a truly exceptional school and applied for International School of the Year in 2021.

The right candidate will have experience teaching National Curriculum KS3 English as well as both Literature and Language GCSEs.
