We are enthusiastic about learning and supporting pupils, parents and staff. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated middle leader as from 29th April 2019 or earlier. The successful candidate will be passionate about raising standards in teaching and learning and will have the ability and passion to effectively share this expertise with others.

Ideally you will have previous experience of working with pupils with complex, severe and moderate learning difficulties and in return, Central England Academy Trust will offer the successful candidate encouragement and support to develop; a comprehensive training programme and an opportunity to make that vital difference in shaping the future of our school. The successful candidate will have the pleasure of joining a very happy and proud Secondary school.

Oak Wood Secondary School is an oversubscribed very successful generic special secondary school. The school has increased its pupil numbers over the past two year.  Currently there are 145 pupils on role and this is due to further increase over the next academic year. Oak Wood Secondary School is part of a two school Multi Academy Trust and share the site with its sister school, Oak Wood Primary School. We would welcome your application:

In addition to completing an application form, candidates are asked to submit a letter of application of no more than two sides of A4. The letter should:

1 Outline your skills and knowledge in relation to the areas outlined in the person specification.

2 Include a paragraph outlining an initiative or project that you have been involved in that has impacted on a whole school level 

3 State how your leadership skills will contribute towards further developing the academy
