Secondary Learning Support Teacher

BVIS is a very supportive environment for both our students and staff, and you will help us to further build our existing support systems to ensure that we continue to develop our ability to offer an enjoyable and successful learning experience for every student. We have a strong team of teachers, TAs and Learning Support Assistants and you will be able to support these colleagues to ensure that all students can thrive within our school. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and have a track record of developing systems for students support and creating a positive environment for all. Some of the students in our school face challenges accessing the curriculum and we want to ensure that they get the support that they need to thrive. Nearly all our students have English as an additional language and this role will involve close cooperation with our EAL coordinator.

Most of your time will be dedicated to learning support but the ability to offer another subject in Secondary will be an advantage.

We offer a professional working environment and an attractive remuneration and benefits package. The initial contract will be for 2 years, start on 1st August 2022 and be renewed by mutual agreement after that.
