Stonehill International School is seeking a Secondary Mathematics Teacher for August 2018. Stonehill was established in 2008 and is a private, secular, coeducational day and boarding school which offers an educational programme for students aged from three to eighteen. English is the medium of instruction throughout. The school is operated on a not-for-profit basis by the Stonehill Education Foundation, within the Embassy Property Group. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and by the New England  Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It is authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). Students at Stonehill come from a wide variety of backgrounds. At any one time, we have students of more than thirty five nationalities.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates are asked to submit the following documents, compiled into one PDF document:

  • Letter of application explaining how your skills and experience make you well-suited to the role (two pages maximum)
  • Curriculum Vitae / Résumé (no more than two pages with recent photo included)
  • Contact details for at least three referees, one of whom must be your current employer

Candidates must have a recognized teaching qualification and at least two years school experience. Experience in MYP and DP Mathematics is preferred. Applications will be reviewed as they arrive.  Stonehill International School is a co-educational, secular, non-selective day and boarding school. The school is located 20 minutes from the international airport and 30 km from Bangalore’s Central Business District. The city of Bangalore is located in the India’s southern region, and has a population of 8.5 million. The school is accredited by the CIS/NEASC and the Australian Boarding Schools Association, and teaches students from age 3 through to secondary education. This is an IB World School, which offers the Primary and Middle Years Programmes, as well as the International Baccalaureate Diploma. 

The campus spans across 34 acres, and includes facilities such as extensive sports fields, two swimming pools, an equestrian centre, three boarding houses, two libraries, and a cafeteria. Competitive sporting programmes include swimming, tennis, equestrianism, basketball, football, volleyball, and cricket. Primary and Secondary specialists are employed to teach the Arts and a dedicated Arts Centre is part of the school’s medium-term development plan. Boarding students are required to spend a minimum of two days a week attending one of the school’s many extracurricular activities.
