St. George’s School seeks a well-qualified professional to teach Mathematics in our flourishing secondary department, to start as soon as possible.
Serving the international community in Cologne for more than 30 years, St. George’s School combines an enriching curriculum with family orientated care. The school has grown from small beginnings into a thriving community of over 800 pupils, aged from 2-18 and representing more than 40 nationalities.
The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school, and we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth form.

We are seeking to appoint a qualified Mathematics Teacher to work within our team of secondary teachers.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic teacher with experience of enabling pupils to achieve their potential. We are looking for the right balance between experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching that will inspire our pupils.
The secondary department covers the age range 11-18 and incorporates the curricula for Key Stage 3, IGCSE and IB Diploma. Familiarity with the British education system is therefore a prerequisite. Experience of IB teaching is preferred, but not required.
Mathematics is taught in differentiated groups across KS3 and KS4 with pupils taking IGCSE at the end of Year 11. Mathematics is a core part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma, and we offer a range of courses to suit pupils’ interests and needs. Familiarity with the British education system is therefore a prerequisite. Experience in IB teaching is preferred, but not required.
Given the growing and developing nature of the school, flexibility and the desire to support other team members is a prerequisite. A strong desire to contribute to the rich pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school will also be an advantage.
Please note that a teaching degree or post-graduate diploma (B.Ed, M.Ed, PGCE or equivalent) is required for this role. Unqualified teachers, or those only holding TEFL or ESOL qualifications, will not be considered.
