The Sultan’s School, Oman’s leading bilingual school, is looking to appoint an experienced teacher of mathematics for August 2022. The position of Head of Faculty might also be available to a suitably qualified candidate. Previous experience of teaching the IGCSE and IB programmes would be an advantage but is not essential. The secondary mathematics faculty is one of the largest in the school and regularly produces examination results above the world average.

Please note that to qualify for a teaching position at The Sultan’s School candidates must hold a recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, QTS, GTP or national equivalent) and have a minimum of two years teaching experience.
The Sultan’s School was established in 1977 under the sponsorship of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and offers a bilingual (Arabic and English) international programme from KG to Year 13 (Grade 12). In Primary (KG to Year 6) and Middle School (Years 7 to 9) we offer a modified English National Curriculum and in Years 10 and 11 we offer the Cambridge IGCSE. In Years 12 and 13 our students follow the IBDP. Over the last five years our IBDP results have been outstanding with an average pass rate of 98%. The vast majority of our graduates go to university outside of Oman, many on government scholarships.
