About the role

The successful candidate will have a passion for their subject and the ability to inspire, enthuse and engage students and staff. You will have experience of teaching maths at KS3 – KS5, including both IGCSE and IB. In addition, IGCSE Computer Science would be an advantage but not a requirement. You will evidence of improving student outcomes.  We are a team of innovative and highly motivated teachers who constantly strive to provide the finest education alongside quality enrichment and development opportunities.  It is this passion which enables us to get the very best out of our students, while fostering a love of learning through the delivery of high quality, exciting and active lessons. The successful candidate will be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular life of a vibrant faculty and wider school programme.

About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification and a minimum of two years teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective of your own student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative methods to raise the school’s level of achievement.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Czech Republic. All candidates must hold a bachelors degree and a qualified teacher status or equivalent. Selection process

The closing date for applications is Friday 29th July  2022, although we shall be conducting interviews on a rolling basis, from the point of receipt, and reserve the right to make an appointment before the deadline.  Due to global travel restrictions, interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams/video call but if possible, shortlisted candidates could be invited to interview in Prague.  Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted due to the high volume of applications anticipated.

About Prague British International School, Kamýk

Prague British International School is a new school formed by the merger of the English International School Prague and the Prague British School. EISP and PBS have a long history in the city, founded in 1992 and 1995 respectively, both schools provide education for Prague's local and international community, educating children aged 2-18 years using the English National Curriculum, IB Diploma Programme and IB Careers Programme.

Located on three campuses, Vlastina (Prague 6) for EYFS to Year 9, Kamyk (Prague 4) for EYFS to Year 9 and Libus (Prague 4) for Year 10 to Year 13. Each location is a purpose-built site on the outskirts of the city centre. Each site has modern classrooms, great IT facilities, sports hall and expansive sports fields.
