About us
Doha College is a high-profile leading British International School in Qatar delivering a well-balanced, all-embracing English National Curriculum to students aged 3-18. The opportunity
We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Secondary PE Teacher to start in August 2022.
Currently, our PE Department has six full-time teachers and offers a wide range of sports, including netball, basketball, football, volleyball, athletics, rugby, cross-country, water polo, fitness and softball as well as swimming. The Department regularly participates in over 400 fixtures and tournaments a year and supports an extensive range of inter-house sports activities that run throughout the year. Furthermore, the Department offers a wealth of sporting opportunities through which students compete against other schools within the Middle East region and further afield.
All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays; all students are furnished with an iPad upon entry, and teachers and pupils use Google Classroom.
About you
To be successful, you will have the ability to teach GCSE and A Level PE and a wide range of sporting activities in world-class facilities, along with a growth mind-set and interest in developing High Performance Learning Skills. As a PE teacher, you will be responsible for assisting in team events within Qatar and elsewhere, monitoring and evaluating student achievement, as well as coaching school teams and coordinating fixtures for those teams.
Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision including co-curricular activities.
A high standard of written and spoken English is an essential requirement for all our positions.
