Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is a minimum of 3 months relevant experience working with children, young people or adults.


Contract start date: September 2021 

Vision for Education are seeking a dynamic and engaging teacher to work in a school in Grimsby, which specialises in the education of students who have been temporarily or permanently excluded form their mainstream school. This role is from September.


 


The role

As a long term class teacher you will be required to plan and deliver lessons to national curriculum standards, complete all marking, attend staff meetings and potentially school parents evenings. You will also be required to mentor and guide the teaching assistant/s within the classroom.


 


The school / setting

The school covers KS3 to KS4 with some students being on part time, timetables between their mainstream school and other alternative provisions. Some children have EHCP’s for additional needs such as SEMH, ADHD and Autism.

Requirements


  • Full UK QTS secondary specialism or experience
  • A strong knowledge of general KS3 UK curriculum
  • Available full time on a long term basis from September 2021
  • Ability to commit to any necessary extra responsibilities such as staff meetings
  • Ideally you will have worked in a similar setting
  • Open to teaching KS3/KS4 aged students who are learning to a KS3 level
  • Able to positively respond to behaviours that challenge
  • To help students adjust to their settings, recognise signs of distress and offer support
  • Help students to build their confidence and self-esteem.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
