As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), it is important that you have support with your wellbeing, your teaching and your future career as well as making an impact for students from diverse backgrounds.

 

Across Ark Schools in Hastings, we have a focus on building a pipeline of Secondary Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for various subjects where you can join us and make a difference where it matters most. We have a particular interest in the following subjects:

·        Maths

·        Science – Biology, Chemistry or Physics

·        Computing

·        Business Studies

·        Design & Technology

·        Geography

·        MFL – French and/or Spanish

 

Start date: September 2023 or sooner if available.

Location: Hastings

Contract: Permanent and Full Time

Salary: Ark pay scale (£28,704 - £30,555) – 2.5% higher than UK Teacher scales

 

About Ark & our ECT programme

Ark is a network of 39 schools with a focus to provide excellent education and opportunities to all children, regardless of their background. We have 4 schools in Hastings that are supported by a Regional Director, as well as the Ark Central Team.

Alongside our Schools, we have Ark Ventures that focus on projects within Early Years, Curriculum, Overseas Education, STEM and Local Communities.

 

Our ECT Programme offers a two-year induction with support from an in-school mentor and Ark ECT tutor. With sessions in-person and online, you’ll get a chance to meet a range of ECTs across the network and offer peer support and ideas.
