Secondary School English Teaching Position

Sandford International School is a Nursery to Year 13 international school in Ethiopia’s capital city, Addis Ababa. Sandford has over 900 students from 50 different countries, with primary and middle years curriculum based largely on the English National Curriculum leading to IGCSE and IB diploma qualifications. Addis Ababa is a lively, vibrant city in one of the most historically and geographically exciting countries in Africa.
We seek an enthusiastic teacher of language and literature, who engages students with lively and thoughtful lessons, and is ambitious for what students can achieve. You would be expected to play an active role in a collegiate and supportive department, and in the school as a whole. Experience of IGCSE and the IB Diploma would be of benefit.
Applications are welcomed from experienced candidates. A relevant degree from a recognized university plus certificate of teaching is required. A minimum of three years direct experience in a similar school setting is required.
