St. George’s School  seeks a well-qualified SEND Coordinator to work across our secondary schools, to start in August 2020.

The School

Serving the international community in Cologne for almost 30 years, St. George’s School combines an enriching curriculum with family orientated care. The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school, and we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth form.

The Location

Located on a new, purpose built campus on the outskirts of Cologne, St. George’s School enjoys direct transport links to the city centre, as well as to the greater area of Cologne-Bonn.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a qualified SEND Coordinator to work across our secondary school.

Our SEND provision is a developing area of the school and we are seeking a well qualified individual to support us in this development. Alongside monitoring the provision for pupils with special needs, the role will involve ensuring appropriate assessment and referral, as well as significant work with teaching staff to ensure that needs are met in the classroom. Coordination with Heads of Section and faculty leaders will be a key part of the role, as well as supporting teachers in their understanding and management of specific pupils’ needs.

Please note that a teaching degree or post-graduate diploma (B.Ed, M.Ed, PGCE or equivalent) is required for this role. Unqualified teachers, or those only holding TEFL or ESOL qualifications, will not be considered.
